Katie I just came across a pretty neat website, dearphotograph.com – “take a picture from the past in the present” It is a really awesome idea – take old pictures of you as a kid and then find that room or house again and overlap the old photo in the present day scene.
They are looking for more submissions and only have a few posted so far, but I think one of these weekends I might have to pull out the old photo albums and see what I can find! Fortunately I still live in the same house I grew up in, so it won’t be a problem finding the rooms (though many of them look very different from when I was a kid), but doing something like this might be a bit more difficult if you’ve moved away!
