Product Review: Glow Stick Bracelets

I am not sure what it is about glow sticks, but I love them.  And the more I can have on me at one time, the better. You should have seen my face when I unpacked this package of 100 Super Bright Longest Lasting glow stick bracelets.  Typically I like to connect 3 bracelets together to make a necklace, or a crown (well, maybe it’s more of a halo).

Since I didn’t have any concerts coming up to really try these out on, I was forced to use the dark bathroom in order to see how they work (but trust me, the rest will make it to a concert or 10 in the future)  I guess it was a good thing that I did end up in the bathroom because the 2nd stick I went to pop explode all over me and the counter.  The top of my ear was neon green for a bit there and I have a feeling if I was under a black light it would still be glowing.I popped 8 glo sticks in total and had no issues with the other 7. (They are non-toxic and CPSIA Compliant so I think I’ll be ok!)

I also really like the colors.  Even though they appear to look the same, once they are really glowing there is a variety of colors and the clear one turned into a pretty blue/purple.

I also liked that when clipped together, the bracelet was still big enough to fit over my wrist. A lot of other brands you need someone else to help you get them on your wrist, these I could do all on my own which is a big plus!

I wish I could have gotten a bit more creative but it is absolutely pouring rain outside so the bathroom had to do in order to get this review posted in time!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Try It Tuesday: Clean Jewelry with Toothpaste!

Recently I noticed that my Hanson symbol necklace (which I never take off) was tarnishing a bit on the front. I actually noticed it when I saw my reflection in the paper towel holder in the bathroom at work! So weird that I didn’t notice it in the mirror – maybe because it was further away.

After I noticed I got home and asked my mom if she had any jewelry cleaner. She asked what kind of jewelry I had to clean and I said “Hanson”. She told me to try toothpaste! I did not believe her – and so much so I didn’t even take a “before” photo for this post.

But boy oh boy was I surprised with the results!  She had said I might not even have to take the necklace off, but I did because I couldnt get a good look at what the heck I was doing with it still around my neck!

But now? Good as new!

Yay toothpaste!

(And I unfortunately don’t have an after photo either because I bought a new chain and they cleaned the charm for me too when I bought it because some sports were still in need of help (mostly that were in the crevices and not on the front of the charm)

But you’re just gonna have to trust me that this works!
