Arliss Pardot was born in a small town in North Carolina. When she was 10, social services took her away when they found her living in a house with a corpse (believed to be her mother’s lover), caged birds and her mother who has gone crazy and was taken away to a mental institution.   Arliss was adopted and doesn’t remember anything from her early life – except that she is afraid of birds.
