Moringa organic tea by miracle tree
Who doesn’t love a quick pick me up? This tea is delicious, nutritious, and I love that it is USDA Organic ensuring high quality standards.

At the time of writing this is the only item I haven’t tried.

Choco Chews by Trujoy Sweets
Here’s a candy everyone can enjoy. Chocolate chewiness that’s vegan, gluten free and organic – no artificial flavors either!

A bit chewey but very tasty!

Annie’s Chocolate Bunny Grahams
Made with organic whole wheat, these crunchy snacks contain 8 grams of whole grains per serving. A handful will put a little hop in your step.

First thing that I tried when the box came! Really good.

Lightly Salted Plantain Chips by Turbana
Sure they’re great on their own, but what about adding a couple to your next homemade trail mix?

Mom snagged these and enjoyed.

Hemp Hearts by Manitoba Harvest
Three tablespoons of hemp hearts provide 10 grams of plant-based protein! I love to add these hemp seeds to a salad, wrap or sandwich!

Mom snagged these as well and rolled her morning banana in them. She was impressed.

Roasted Chickpeas with Sea Salt by the Good Bean
One serving of these chickpeas contains 4 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber and serious crunchy, sea salt enjoyment.

Another one that Mom ate (I Think she ate more of this box than I did this month!) and two thumbs up.

Sea Salt Bops by Good Boy Organics
Be careful. These organic, gluten-free and Non-GMO Project Verified baked potato snacks are dangerously delicious

These were a lot thicker than the usual chips that I eat so I like that. And what’s not to like about something called “BOPS”?

Almond Butter Cacao Truffle by Two Moms in the Bay
Who knew raw, gluten free truffles could taste so indulgent? Clearly, in this case, moms do know best!

Mom tried to grab this one too – “it says Mom on it!” but I snagged it for myself.  It looks like it would be gross but it tastes much, much better than it looks. Trust me.

Nutty Rice Bites with Cranberries by 180 Snacks
What happens when you tumble together great tasting real food? Healthy, delicious snack bites with guilt-free munching all day long.

Mom tried these as well and enjoyed them as a snack.

Love With Food Box : February

20150214_143114

There may be snow on the ground and frost on your windows , but down by the bayou it’s time to party! So break out your beads with this bright red box and warm up with a tasty trip to The Big Easy. Extravagant? Who dat?

Lemon Wafer Bites by Dolcetto
With a rich, creamy center wrapped inside a crispy wafer, these are sure to do a little voodoo to you know who.

I wasn’t sure if these were going to have too strong of a sour lemon taste but they were actually just right and I enjoyed them.

Traditional Hot Chocolate by Monbana
Created by French Master chocolatiers using 32% chocolate, one sip and you’ll float away to the French Quarter.

As of writing, the only thing I haven’t tried yet

Olive Oil Potato Chips by Boulder Canyon
Pure potato chip satisfaction with no cholesterol, trans fats or msg! Cooked in small batches in 100% olive oil, meet your new kettle cooked addiction.

Loved these! Tasty and no cholesterol, sign me up.

Baked Mac N’ Cheese Puffs by Snikiddy
Hush puppy… Corn and rice puffs doused with cheddar cheese and kissed with buttermilk make frying so old school.

I love Mac N Cheese and I wasn’t sure what to think of these at first – then I tried them. Love them!

Milk Chocolate Mini Pieces by Divine Chocolate
Produced by the only fairtrade chocolate company owned by cocoa farmers, this is big, but it ain’t easy! There’s more than meets the eye with this delight.

I’ve never met a chocolate piece I didn’t like. 😉

Original Creole Seasoning by Tony Chachere’s
From crawdads to gumbo, this msg-free Creole seasoning turns every mouthful into a party for your palate.

Protein+ Almond Honey Bar by Rise Bar
Only 3 ingredients? That’s nuts! No really, it’s almonds, honey and whey protein isolate. Talk about our kind of bar scene.

I really like almonds and honey so it was no surprise that I liked this bar.

Toffee Crunch Trufflecremes by Dilettante
Laissez les bons temps rouler! A combination of butter toffee with almonds enrobed in fine milk chocolate, who wouldn’t roll with these?

As I said before – I never met a piece of chocolate I didn’t like.

Love With Food Box: January

20150114_201138

The Theme of January’s love with food box is “Live. Laugh. Restore.”  What does 2015 have in store? All good thing! While now’s the time for New Year’s resolutions and looking forward, give yourself a little love for what you’ve already achieved. With the purchase of this box, you helped to feed a hungry child. If that’s not a great way to start off the New Year, we’re not sure what is!

Dark Chocolate Cacao Nibs by Britt
Straight from the Costa Rican rainforest, pop a few at a time and these bittersweet little babies will get you fired up for a fresh start!

I actually found these to be too sweet, even if only eating one at at time.

Chocolate Dipped Coconut Mini by Luna
Looking for a little bar to get you through your big workout? Packed with  all the right stuff to keep you going, you’ll go (coco)nuts for this one!

Was not a fan. Not very flavorful.

Energy Kettle Cooked Apples by Big Slice
A simply delectable way to get your 5-a-day, eat a pouch on your way to yoga and say bye bye to those extra holiday lbs.

As of writing, still hadn’t tried these.

Somersaults by Somersault Snack Company
If seeds and grains are your new thing, you’ll go head over heels for these tasty morsels.

These were a bit too peppery for my liking, but otherwise they were really good, kind of reminded me of croutons but with seeds and grains mixed in.

Breakfast in Paris Tea Black by Stash
Ideal for that sleepy Sunday morning, steep yourself a warm cup with notes of lavender and bergamot and melt into your comfy couch.

As of writing, still had no tried this.

Cassava Pops by Wai Lana
At only 100 calories per bag, these popped-not friend or baked-pips offer all the flavor of typical chips with a fraction of the fat.

A little bit too salty but otherwise good – I enjoy the popped more than fried lately.

Velvet Truffles by Alter Eco
Made with pure Peruvian chocolate, this sweet little treat is 99.97% organic, 81% fair trade certified ingredients and 100% to die for!

Can’t go wrong with a truffle! very good!

In-Shell Almonds by Bobalu
Move over pistachios, in-shell almonds are taking over your game! Crunchy, fun and fill of protein, looks like someone’s got a makeover for 2015.

I love pistachios because they’re so easy to open, but almonds are probably my favorite nut.  However, these in-shell almonds, while they tasted great, were a HUGE mess to get the almond out to eat it – way messier than pistachios. So I think I’ll stick to already shelled almonds and shelling pistachios only so I don’t have a mess of shell everywhere!

In this season of giving, we thank you for helping us feed a child in need again this month.

Kettle Corn By Oogies
Like snowflakes glistening in the sun, the evaporated cane sugar dusted with salt on this non-GMO popcorn will have you saying OOOOO in no time

This was very sweet, but very good. Perfect to share with a friend as a snack.

Pitted Green Olives by Olympos
Authentic greek olives, naturally cured over many months, are full of healthy fats and antioxidants – now that is something to celebrate!

I didn’t try these, but my Mom did. She said they were good and she was expecting them to be salty but they were not which she liked.

Hazelnut Spread by Nocciolata
Skip the roasting and enjoy this organic Italian Chocolate Hazelnut spread on … well everything!

This was good – but I never know what to eat it with so I eat it by the spoonfuls and there’s got to be a better way!

Cookie Chips by Hanna Max
Tasting like cookies yet crunching like chips, at 120-130 calories per serving, these cookies are baked to perfection for every season of the year!

These cookies were very tasty, although I wish I had someone to share the bag with because they did end up getting a bit too sweet near the end there.

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels by Liddabit Sweets
Chewy, chocolaty and not too sweet, these babies will calm your chocolate craving with just one piece… Okay, maybe two.

These were great! Loved them!

Chocolate Honey Mints by Honey Acres
Peppermint and chocolate are a classic winter combination – and the raw honey in these mints provides a natural source of energy

I wasn’t sure what to think of these at first – but they were just like peppermint patties which is one of my favorites.

Espresso Candies by Bali’s Best
Espresso-on-the-go! These candies made with Sumatra coffee are the tastiest cure for holiday shopping fatigue

I’m not a big espresso fan – but these were good. If you looove espresso you will looove these.

Dark Chocolate Coconut by Next By Nature
Forget the mistletoe – sharing this chocolate covered coconut with someone you love is sure to earn you a smooch!

I don’t eat coconut so I had to pass on this as well.

Influenster Frosty VoxBox

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Sachet – This clinically proven serum is even more effective at reducing the appearance of fine lines for younger looking skin in just two weeks.

(Due to an unknown allergy, I no longer am trying any skin products for fear of an allergic reaction.)

Get intense, amplified color and shine that lasts up to six hours! Our moisturizing formula glides on easily for a silky, smooth, velvety finish for all day wear.

I love that this lasts for up to 6 hours – I don’t need to worry about reapplying! I don’t wear lipstick much, but this is definitely a color that I like and may have to reconsider and wear it more often!

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea – Live life well this holiday season wit Celestial Seasonings and take a stroll down Candy Cane Lane! It’s made with the very finest green tea leaves, peppermint and other botanicals, because at Celestial Seasonings, we know you are what you steep.

This is a great tea for the holiday season. I can’t think of anything that screams FROSTY better than having a nice warm cup of tea that is peppermint flavored.

Long or short, straight or curly, EcoTools has the brush to tame any hair style with a variety of five brush head shapes and bristle designs, specially crafted to suit every need.

I was so excited for a new hair brush, I have super thick wavy/curly hair so I am always trying out new brushes as I tend to break brushes quickly. This one I am hoping will stick around for a while because I am really liking it.

Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover – Gently removes all eye makeup, including long lasting and waterproof makeup, with no oily residue.

Have yet to try this as I am not big on eye makeup – but I like that it doesn’t leave a residue and will remove waterproof make up too – which is my makeup of choice when I do wear it.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kojal Eyeliner – Gives instant colour impact with its high intensity pigments. The ultra-smooth and creamy formula glides on easily.

Another item I haven’t had a chance to try out yet – I’m not quite sure how to use it so if anyone has any great tutorials out there… I need to step up my make up game.

McCormick Gourmet Thyme – The freshest flavors deserve a fresh new look! McCormick Gourmet’s Thyme imparts a light minty flavor that is distinctively warm and aromatic. McCormick Gourmet Thyme came be used throughout the day in dishes such as breakfast casseroles, hearty soups, stews, stuffing and oven-roasted chicken.

We used this on chicken and pork chops in the past week or so and it definitely made things tastier!

Fruit Vines Bites – Fruit Vines Bites are a new, soft, chewy fruit candy, from the Red Vines family, available in two fruit flavors – strawberry and cherry. Low fat and made with no preservatives, Fruit Vines Bites are available in three sizes: a 2 oz single serve, a 5 oz hanging bang and a 10 oz resealable stand-up bag and can be found at Walmart in the West, Kroger, Walgreens, Target, Safeway and Rite Aid.

I ate this bag in one sitting and when they were gone I wanted more. (I’m hoping I can find some in the store) I absolutely love the cherry flavor and could eat them all day.

I received these products complimentary for testing purposes.

Love With Food Box November

20141117_151031

November’s Love with Food box theme is “Baby It’s Cold Outside”. Winter has arrived – it’s time to cue up the holiday music, pull on your thickest socks, and curl up by the fireplace with Love With Food for snacks that are sure to warm your heart and home. And you’ve helped to warm someone else’s month too – we’ve donated one meal on your behalf to help a hungry child in the US.

Dried Mini Figs by Fruit Bliss
Wine, Cheese and these delightful Turkish Figs are bound to be the perfect way to warm up on any cold evening.

Mom tried these – and enjoyed.

Milk Choclate Peanut Cluster by Jers Chocolates
For those moments when we need just a little something sweet, we love that these peanut clusters are just as sweet as they are protein rich.

For some reason I read “cluster” as “butter” and got excited and then was a bit disappointed with them being peanut clusters instead. They also had salt on them which I am not a fan of with my chocolates.

All Purpose Seasoning Salt by Whole Spice
With hints of Chili, Garlic, Tumeric and Black Pepper this All Purpose seasoning will warm up any meal.

As of writing have yet to try this one out.

Midnight Soft Baked Biscotti by Marlo’s
The rich and luminouse cocoa, espresso and chocolate chips in this tender biscotti pair perfectly with a warm cappucino or cup of coffee.

This was really, really good!

Truffles by Guylian
Our hearts melt over the love story of Guy and Lian whom we owe many thanks for their delectable Belgium seahorse chocolate truffles.

Can’t go wrong with a seahorse! Very good.

States and Capitals Educational Snacks by Dick & Jane Baking Company
Learning the US States and Capitals is as easy as learning your “ABCs” with these educational snacks. Hand them out on Thanksgiving and see who can find the original 13 colonies!

These were as tasty as they were educational! Loved them and am considering buying more for snacks for trips!

Laiki Red Rice Chips by Grains of Health
With only 3 ingredients these crackers are simple yet delicious.

These were very good.

Cinnful Sweet Heat Tortilla Chips by Chipz Happen
A sprinkle of sweet, spice and heat these chips are great straight out of the bag or crumbled on to ice cream.

I didn’t read that these had a kick to them at first and was not so pleasantly surprised. A little too spicy for me so I wasn’t able to eat all that many of them.

Love with Food: October

20141018_145157

October’s Love with Food box theme was “Monster Mash”. The harvest moon is bright, the fall air is crisp, and jack-o-lanterns are lit – so we’ve selected monster worthy snacks that will have you doing the Mash… the Monster Mash in no time! That’s not all you should be dancing over, you just donated one meal to feed a hungry child in the USA… AAaaaUUUUuuu!

Organic Jelly Beans by Surf Sweets
Trick-or-Treat! These jelly beans are packed with Vitamin C and real fruit flavor!

Very good and were the first thing I ate!

Honey Almond Nut Butter by Justin’s
Any witch’s brew that includes the protein packed Justin’s Honey Almond Butter is bound to make even Dracula smile!

I had to google “how to eat almond butter”and it said to eat it like you would Peanut Butter – so by the spoonful I did.  A bit grittier than I was expecting but very good!

Cinnamon and Sugar Bananinha Banana Bar by Nutryvitta
Trick or Treat… Go bananas with this banana, cinnamon, and sugar bar. We think it tastes better than candy!

This was a little bit too sweet for me! I know that is nuts to say.

Organic Original Falafel Chips by Flamous
We hear that the blend of tumeric, onion, garlic, spinach, carrot, red pepper, tomato and green bell pepper in these falafel chips will ward off any vampires!

These were really good, kind of like tortilla chips with a bit of a kick!

Buttery shortbread squares by Clairesquares
These rich, buttery Irish shortbread squares are great solo – or pipe on an icing design of your favorite monster for a Halloween twist.

If you’ve been reading these reviews for a while you know I LOVE when shortbread is included! At this second. Delicious, as expected.

Chocolate Almond Nut Butter by Justin’s
With 3g of Fiber and 5g of Protein, this Chocolate Almond Butter is a graveyard smash!

I saved this for last when trying to almond butter because I figured I’d like the chocolate more – but I felt the ratio of almond to chocolate was off and actually preferred the honey almond nut butter.

Original Cheese Straws by J&M
If the full moon is made of cheese, we hope it is as tasty as the real cheese with a hint of cayenne found in these cheese straws!

Love all things cheddar.  These cheese straws had a kick (the cayenne no doubt) but were still a hit!

Snapea Crisps by Calabee
These snapea crisps are so tasty. Be careful you may want to do the mash… the monster mash!

I love me some snap peas and these crisps were really good!

Love With Food: September

20141014_180453

The theme for this month’s box was “spice up your life”, which means there were not all that many things in the box that I was willing to try as I am not a fan of spicy!

Simply So Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips by Way Better Snacks
The grains and seeds in these spicy, delicious chips are sprouted – which allows your body to better absorb their nutrients.

I am too chicken to try these and have passed them on to someone who will enjoy them more.

Lemon Rosemary Seasoning by Fogg City Spice Co.
Enhance the flavor of everyday meals like chicken or vegetables with this citrusy & earthy spice blend

As of the writing of this post I haven’t tried this yet, but it is on the list to try with some chicken soon!

Green Superfood by Amazing Grass
Add some pep in your step with this nutrient dense Amazing Grass superfood packet. We like to add fresh fruit and almond milk for a delectable breakfast smoothie. Bon Appetit.

Another item that has been passed on to someone who would enjoy it more!

5 Spice Caramels by Shotwell Candy Co.
Mixed with pure chocolate and a hint of cinnamon, star anise, anise seed, ginger and clove these caramels will have you Living La Vida Loca.

I have not yet tried these as of posting, but will be!

Maruso Ghost Soy Sauce by Maruso
Kick your next marinade or fried rice recipe up a notch with this Ghost Pepper Soy Sauce!

Another item waiting to be used… maybe the rice side with the Lemon Rosemary chicken?

Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins by Mandy’s
Sugar and spice and everything nice is packaged in these addictive chocolate cookies.

Two thumbs up for the chocolate cookies, the package was the perfect size for a nice snack!

Churro Kettle Corn by Love with Food
The warmth of cinnamon with a hint of sugar in this popcorn will help you “Live Your Life With a Little Spice”

Very tasty but also very sticky. Keep a wetnap near by!

Love with Food – August

20140813_173013

This month’s theme was county fair and was filled with a lot of great snacks.

Montreal Steak Spice Seasoning Potato Chips by Covered Bridge
These old-fashioned kettle-cooked gluten free chips are seasoned with your favorite steak seasoning for a spicy crunch.

I liked these after the first couple of chips but then they were very spicy and I couldn’t eat more than about 5 in a sitting. They reminded me of seasoned french fries though.

Pineapple + Coconut Fruit Ice by Smoozei
Beat the summer heat with this delicious vegas, dairy-free pop (remember to freeze before you eat)

This was a great combo and very good!

Cinammon Grahams by Skeeter Nut Free
These little squirrel-shaped nut-free snacks will satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you going ride after ride.

These are a great road trip or post concert snack! Loved the flavor!

Salty Peanut Salt Water Taffy by Salty Road
Two classic fair flavors combine forces in this ultimate peanut treat

Peanut Butter taffy is a favorite of mine. And this was one of the best I’ve ever tried.

Salty Caramel Apple Salt Water Taffy by Salty Road
Inspired by salted caramel apple pie, this taffy wins our prize for “Best in Show”

I wasn’t sure what to think about a caramel apple flavored taffy – but this was really, really good.

Lollipops by Yummy Earth
Let out your inner child and indulge guilt-free in these organic suckers in flavors like Googly Grape and Strawberry Smash.

My flavors were Mango Tango and Pomegranate 2 fruits (or 3 if tango is tangerine?) that I am not a fan of. They were VERY flavorful though.

Crispy Cheddar Crackers by Back to Nature
Presto! Just like the crackers you loved as a kid, but without the junk – savor the taste of cheddar cheese in a deliciously light crunch.

I’m all about Cheddar Crackers and these did not disappoint!

Kettle Sweet Peanuts by Love with Food
Its okay to get carried away with this sweet, salty and nutty combo… Just do it and #GoNuts!

These were absolutely amazing and I was really bummed when the bag was empty!

Nutty Rice Bites with Blueberries by 180 Snacks
Crunch your way through these bites-size crispy clusters, all dressed up for summer with sweet blueberries

These were the perfect size to pop in your mouth. Smelled like blueberries as soon as the package was opened and tasted like blueberries even though I didnt see that many blueberries throughout.

Love With Food Box July

This month Love with Food partnered with 2 Degrees to double your donations to hungry children across the U.S. So while you’re dining around the campfire, TWO kids in need are also enjoying a meal – because of you.

20140716_180429

Baked with protein rich lentils and naturally gluten free, these lentil crackers will help you live a balanced life at home or in the wilderness.

As of writing, these were not yet tried.

Mom tried this one as well. She said she liked it but didn’t read the package and assumed it was like any other trail mix but it was SPICY.

Kids’ Organic Mixed Berry Chews by Honey Stinger
Snackers of all ages will get a skip in their step from the Vitamin C, potassium, fiber and protein in these delicious chews.

These were very good, though a bit gooey.

Dutch Cocoa by Somersaults
Seeds are the new nut! These little nuggets are both packed with protein and will satisfy your sweet tooth.

I wasn’t a fan of these – the seeds got all stuck in my teeth – but if seeds are your ting, I think that you will enjoy these

Chocolate Chip Fluff by Madyson’s Marshmallows
Roast this gluten-free, gourmet, chocolate chip marshmallow over a campfire for the ultimate s’mores experience.

I didn’t roast this, I just ate it, but it was definitely perfect for a smore with the chocolate right in the marshmallow

White Cheddar Puffs by Beanitos
With 5 grams of protein these preservative free White Cheddar Puffs are bound to keep you energized during your next excursion.

These were not quite what I was expecting but they were good.
