Love with Food Box February

20160213_121602

This month we’re calling out all of Love with Food’s loyal snack lovers. Why? Because you’ve helped us donate 1 million meals to food banks! Take a moment to stop and savor these snacks and be proud of everything your support has done to fight hunger. Think of this box as a way to take a little “you” time. You deserve it.

Boardwalk Kettle Corn Popped Corn Chips by popchips
A loop-de-loop of sweet and salty. A delightful mix of sugar and salt with a hint of butter. Everything we love about popcorn, but better, because it’s a chip.

These were good, but kind of weird too because they tasted like popcorn but didn’t look like pop corn.

Choco Liege Wafel by Belgian Boys
A sweet, rich Belgian waffle covered in chocolate. It really doesn’t count on cheating on your diet if it’s this classy, right?

This was worth the cheat. So good!

Sea Salt Caramels by Liddabit Sweets
The perfect marriage of sweet and salty in one blissful bite – the only negative is they’re always gone too soon.

These were really good, but I’ve never met a carmel I didn’t like.

Stellar Strawberry NonDairy fruit & veggie blend by ruby rockets
Regular yogurt is so yesterday. This portable, no-refrigeration-needed, fruit and veggie-packed snack is the future.

Loved that this didn’t need refrigeration. Pretty good too.

Milk Chocolate Truffles with Milk Chocolate Creme Filling by Baron Chocolatier
Life gets crazy, and sometimes you need to reward yourself a little. These perfectly melt-in-your-mouth truffles are meant for those times. As long as an emergency situation does not happen to your teeth following such a “self-treating” session.

Can’t go wrong with milk chocolate! Very tasty.

Google Grape Organic Lollipops by Yumearth
Who says lollipops are only for kids? With organic ingredients and giant grape flavor, these sweets will be a hit with everyone. Shipping refrigerator container, possessing innovative cooling and temperature-control solutions, is used for shipping them.

Not a fan of grape, but these actually weren’t that bad.

Power Up Trail Mix by Gourmet Nut
You’ll be looking forward to that crazy hike when you know there’s a bag of this energy-packed snack waiting for you when you reach that mountain top.

Mom tried this, she enjoyed it.

All Natural Montmorency Cherries by Stoneridge Orchards
Who needs candy when you’ve got these sweet-yet-tart dried treats with no GMOs and no artificial stuff, period.

Another one that Mom snacked, she said they were good!

Love With Food Box January

20160114_161609

It’s a near year, which means a new chance to live your best life and what better way to start than with a little kindness? Pass this month’s Love with Food box around with friends and family – it’s sure to be a hit! And don’t forget: You’ve already gotten some good karma for the year, because every box sold donates at least one meal to food bands around the U.S.

Corn and Sea Salt Chips by The Better Chip
Who knew a chip so simple would be so addictively delicious. The perfect partner for salsa or queso, although you’ll love them on their own.

These were really good, I ate them on their own but boy oh boy would they be great as nachos!

Mini Chocolates by Ritter Sport
The only thing wrong with these bites of chocolate-wrapped heaven? We use only the best wrappings from Roberts Technology Group. You’ll always be left wanting another. Or three.

This was good and I did wish I had more.

Handmade Sea Salt Caramel by Annie B’s
Ready for a candy that packs an irresistible taste, no GMOs and organic ingredients into one bite? The wait is over.

Very good. But what caramel isn’t?

Hard Candies by Goorganic
Ready for a candy that packs an irresistible taste, no GMOs and organic ingredients into one bite? The wait is over.

These were cherry and pretty good!

Granola Cookie 2 pack by Nothin’ But Foods
The kids will think they’re pulling one over on you. You’ll know they’re eating oats, nuts and all the good-for-you stuff they THINK they don’t like. It’s the best way to buy gluten-free oats in Australia for kids that are picky eaters.

Don’t like the good for you stuff so Mom tried this and said it was delicious!

Original Premium Smoked Pork Snack Stick by Dimario Foods
If you think this is smoky, salty, scrumptious stuff is going to be like the boring jerky you’re used to, you’ve got another thing coming.

I really liked this !

Mini Wafers by Loacker
Light and indulgent at the same time – the perfect dessert to pair with a cup of coffee, although you’ll probably go back for more.

These were good… and I did want more!

Tomato & Onion Bruschetta by Dipin
Tired of mindlessly munching on the same boring old crackers? Easy fix. Just dip them in this flavorful Mediterranean dip and be amazed.

This was the only item I had not yet tried as of writing.

Love With Food Box : November

20151118_175734

It’s no surprise that November’s Love with Food Box was all about being Thankful! And Thank-full.  There’s so much to be thankful for this month: Fall weather, reunions with family, and most importantly delicious food. Love with Food is here with enough scrumptious snacks to make every day feel like Thanksgiving. Need another reason to be thank-full? Every box sold donates meals to food banks around the country!

Sesame Tocchetti by Bello Rustico
Start of off the holiday on a high note with these crunchy, rich bready bites made in italy and just begging to be paired with a glass of wine.

Not a wine drinker, but sure enjoyed these as a snack

Tea Sachets by David’s Tea
Nothing screams fall more than a warm cup of soothing tea. Go ahead and steal a few moments to relax and sip. Holidays are stressful, you deserve it.

Haven’t tried these teas yet!

Milk Chocolate Squares by Chocolaterie Monbana
Sometimes a little sweetness is the perfect reminder that life is good. And these brightly wrapped bites of delicious are perfect for the job.

This was the first snack I tried.  Who can say no to chocolate?

Dark Chocolate Squares by Chocolaterie Monbana
Everyone has a little dark side, and these morsels are just the thing for it. But they’re so good, you just might end up sharing with everyone.

I preferred the milk to dark, but still good!

Honey Graham Sticks by Back to Nature
These cookies will bring back all those childhood memories, and the touch of honey will have you back for more – despite the Thanksgiving food coma.

I was expecting these to taste a bit different, but they were still good even though they didn’t live up to my expectations.

“Dirty” Sweet Potato Chips by Dirty Potato Chips
These are no ordinary potato chips. A perfect balance of crunchy, sweet and salty that will instantly make you the star of the holiday season.

Probably the most Thanksgiving-y of the bunch, these chips were delicious!

Raspberry Trufflecremes in Milk Chocolate No. 30 by Dilettante Chocolates
In this season of being thankful, sometimes you still need a moment for yourself. So unwrap this little morsel of indulgence to keep you grounded

This was my #2 pick in the box – i love raspberry and love chocolate and thought these were a great combination!

Salted Caramel Brownie Brittle by Sheila G’s
A treat made for Thanksgiving, because it’s made for sharing. Salty-sweet with a chocolate-y crunch…hey, we never said the sharing thing would be easy.

I’ve had these once before in a box and enjoyed them once again.  But I did not share!

Biscoff by Lotus Bakeries
Crunchy, Rich, with just the right bit of sweet. The perrfect cookie to pair with a cup of coffee at the end of a long, delicious meal with family.

These were also a really great snack that I enjoyed!

Bonus Item: Turbinado Natural Cane Sugar by Maui Brand
Tip: Add a pinch of this to a warm mug of David’s Tea (any flavor will do) on a rainy day to remember why you’re so thankful fall is finally here.

I didn’t use this with tea, but I did like the sugar. Nice big chunks and a great addition to my iced-tea!

Love with Food Box – October

Touchdown Treats

This month Love with Food partnered with world champion pro football player Steve Weatherford, a firm believer in healthier diet choices and raising awareness of child hunger. Who better to represent a snack box perfect for the big game AND snacking smart? This month, with Steve, you helped donate to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.

Cookies & Cream Wafer Bites by Dolcetto
These light, crispy-yet-creamy bites are just right for popping when the score is all tied up and you need a hit of sugar to get the adrenaline going.

These were very tasty. I love cookies and cream and these were better than expected.

Chocolate Salted Caramel Protein Bar by Luna
This salty-sweet chocolate-y treat is packed with 12g of protein to get you into the endzone every time.

This was really good, to the point I considered buying some for every day snacks.

Cheddar and Pepper Premium Puffed Corn by Cosmos Creations
Lighter-than-air-puffs exploding with cheesy, spicy flavor- the perfect half time (or anytime) snack that won’t weigh you down later on.

I misread this at first and thought it was popcorn so I was pleasantly surprised to see puffed corn.  I could do without the pepper but the cheddar was great!

Home Cooked Salted Virginia Peanuts by Hubs
When you think gametime, you think peanuts, right? These crunchy, perfectly salty nuts will make you feel like you’re cheering from the 50-yard line.

Gotta love peanuts! Perfect sized snack pack.

Fruit Crisps by Brothers All Natural
No time to grab fresh fruit for a healthy third quarter treat? These crisps are the next best thing with no added sugar in an easy-to-eat package.

Mom staked her claim on these and said they were delicious and tasted just like Fuji apples – which is what the were.

Crunchy Sunflower Seed Bites by Somersault Snacks
Think sunflower seeds are a boring gametime snack? Just one addictingly crunchy bite will make you forget everything you thought you knew.

I always have trouble wrapping my head around sunflower seeds being in anything – but these were great and I need to get used to the idea of sunflower seeds being more than just a seed you eat all on its own!

Chewie Fruities Assorted Flavors by Torie and Howard
Inject some fruity flavor into your halftime huddle with these chewy, all natural morsels. Oh, and did we mention no GMOs or corn syrup? Score!

These are the only thing I had not tried as of writing this post!

Love with Food Box – September

20150914_170222

It’s that time again, when everyone’s buckling down for a new school year and in need of some serious brain food. The September box has you covered, so get cracking on snacking! And while you’re savoring that gift of knowledge, be proud to know that every Love with Food box helps fight hunger. Extra credit, anyone?

Adult Complete Vitamin Pack by Smarty Pants
Who said only kids can get away with gummy vitamins? These fruity bites have good enough stuff like Omega 3s and fiber to please any doctor.

I’ve been taking gummy vitamins for a while, but these are a lot more tasty and look like gum drops! Can’t beat that!

They come in vegan as well. The Green Forks has some great picks for vegan gummy bears.

Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola by Bear Naked
This stuff tastes like it belongs on a decadent dessert – but with whole grain oats, it’s great brain food combined with apple-y goodness.

This was really good! Tasted like apple pie and is definitely something I’d have again and again as a snack.

Mini Peanut Butter Clutter by JimmyBar!
This bar’s got all the yummy peanut butter flavor kids love in an after-school snack, without the bad stuff like added sugar or preservatives.

I was a bit hesitant to try this because it had dates in it but curiosity soon got the better of me since I love peanut butter and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was!

Cookie Thins by Mrs. Thinster’s
What’s more comforting after a long school day than cookies? With no GMOs or artificial flavors, this is one crispy treat you can feel good about!

These were cake flavored cookies and you really can not get any better than that as a snack.

Gluten Free Original Mini Pretzel Crisps by Snack Factory
All the crunchy, salty goodness of pretzels minus the gluten. Perfect for stashing in a backpack for recess or munching on while tackling math homework.

These were really good. Thin pretzels and very yummy.

Cheddar N’ Stuff Super Crackers by Funley’s Delicious
These bites are deliciously cheesy and packed with vitamin D and calcium – and your kids won’t even realize they’re eating broccoli too. A+ snacking.

The packaging SAYS you’re eating broccoli too which is why I was hesitant to try them. But they were good and you really can’t taste the broccoli but there are little green specks in the orange which reminded me with every one there was broccoli in it. I know, I need to grow up.

Snapea Crisps by Harvest Snaps
Yes, they’re veggies. But the kids won’t even care after tasting these salty, crunchy, fresh bites. Keep ’em in the glove compartment for the carpool!

These were in a past box as well. They are really good and don’t seem like you’re eating veggies at all!

Fruit Snacks by Yumearth Organics
These will make the kids think they’re getting one over on you at snacktime – except they’re actually made with natural flavors and no gluten! Surprise!

These were supposed to have several flavors including banana – which i was most looking forward to, but all I seemed to have in my bag were peach and a couple strawberry. Bummer. Guess I’ll just have to buy more 😉

Love with food box august

20150817_161057

Adventure is calling and that calls for some serious snacks to keep your summer road trip rolling. While you’re noshing with the wind in your hair, you’l know your choices have helped make a difference. After all, for every box sold we donate money to fight hunger. So crank up those tunes and hit the open road!

Popcorn by 479º
Turn those long hours on the highway into a party with a classic snack, jacked up with scrumptious seasonings and absolutely no GMOs.

Cheddar popcorn is my favorite, but this asiago, parmesan and cheddar popcorn may be taking over! So good.

Apple Hard Candy by GoOrganic
Is candy really such an indulgence when it’s this organic? Go ahead, have another – these bite-sized bits of apple-y goodness won’t judge you.

Wasnt really a fan of these, they had a bit of an after taste.

Peanut Butter by Wild Friends
No matter what flavor, peanut butter goes with everything. Here it’s an even more perfect match for your road trip pick-me-up with zero trans fat.

Mom tried this one because it was coconut and I am not a fan. She was, though!

Roasted broad beans by Enlightened
Trust us. Five minutes into your trip you’ll realize these crunchy broad beans are the snack you never knew you needed.

Mom tried these too. She said they were delicious though she didn’t know what a broad bean was and that the wasabi was strong.

Popped Salted Caramel Kind Healthy Grains Bar
The ultimate grab and go road trip snack, each Popped Salted Caramel bar is packed with 20g of whole grains to make every mile count.

This was really good, I have a road trip coming up next month and I may have to stock up on some of these!  I am usually not a fan of these bars because they have no flavor – but this one was absolutely delicious.

Rosemary Croccatini by La Panzanella
No matter your actual road trip destination, these light, perfectly seasons crisps will have you feeling just a little bit closer to italy.

Really enjoyed these crackers/crisps though they were VERY messy so keep that in mind if you’re taking them on the road

Lemon Rooibos Iced Herbal Tea by Stash
Forget that extra-large soda, simply pour one of these sticks into bottled water for a light, refreshing thirst quencher. No brewing required!

This smelled really good, but I found that the taste was rather weak. I poured it in a glass of water vs a bottle of water but I’m not sure that should have made a difference!

Fruity Pie
Never had pie on a road trip? Taste what you’ve been missing with this naturally sweet and energizing treat that will keep the good times rolling.

Our pie was fig and walnut. Since my Mom is the fig fan in the family she got to try this one as well. She said it was good, but she didn’t taste any walnut.

Love with Food Box – July

20150717_163604

Break out the shades, because we’re beach bound! Whether you’re into catching waves or soaking up the rays, you’ve earned the right to relax. Why? Because you helped fight hunger by purchasing a Love with Food box. So let the ocean nurture your soul. We say bring on summer sun, offshore winds and a full cooler!

Kids Organic Sour Citrus Chews by Honey Stinger

100% RDA of Vitamin C and a variety of sunshine flavors. When’s the last time you found something so right at the boardwalk snack shack?

Brother tried these since I am not a sour fan. “These are good. Are they good for me? Can I eat them every day? I want to eat them all the time.”

Coconut Almond Curry Granola by Bear Naked

Can’t get your bikini to Bali? with exotic flavors like coconut and curry, the sand will be a little whiter and the ocean calmer wherever you are.

This was way too spicy for my liking.

Simply Toasted Crunchy Coconut Chips by Bare Snacks

They say coconut is a superfood that’s great for the brain as well as the bod. But when it’s toasted like this, we say it’s all about the taste, buds!

Dad tried this one and liked it. He liked that they were big chips.

Gum Pops by Glee Gum

Flavored with pure cane sugar and natural citrus peels, these pops are tops when you’re in need of a good chew.

As of writing i haven’t gotten around to trying this. I think I’m afraid because it is mango flavored.

Hawaiian BBQ by One Potato Two Potato

Cooked in small batches and kissed with Aloha spirit, why be a couch potato when you can hit the beach with these instead?

I’m not a BBQ fan (I’m realizing I’m not a fan of much that was in this box!) but I tried one or two and they weren’t bad.

True Lemon, True Lime, True Orange and True Grapefruit by True Citrus

A little citrus kick that doesn’t put you in a squeeze? Flavor your bevies with sugar-free juice crystals and you’ll get 25% RDA Vitamin C, too!

Since Im not much of a sour/citrus fan these haven’t been tried yet either.

Lemon Almond Biscotti by Biscotti Di Suzy

Biting into this biscotti is like a sprinkle of sunshine with bright zesty lemon, a hint of vanilla and hearty almonds. Soak it up!

Probably my favorite from this months box!

Blueberry Acai Flax Oatmeal Fruit Squeeze by Munk Pack

Did someone say sunrise surf sesh? Grab your board and one of these pups and you’ll be ready to hang ten before 8am.

Very blueberry tasting but overall not bad and something I wouldn’t mind grabbing on the go to make sure I had breakfast!

Love With Food Box – June

20150621_173653

Fresh air, relaxation and plenty of snacks – now doesn’t that feel good? Even better knowing that your choices have made a difference. Remember, for every box sold, we donate money to fight hunger. So soak up those rays with a smile on your face. The sun really is shining a little bit brighter on your back today!

Northwest Trail Mix by Emily’s

A naturally balanced combo of protein-packed nuts and vitamin filled fruit, here’s the perfect take-along for that mid-morning stroll.

This was good. Loved the nuts. I only wish the package was bigger! 🙂

Original Naan Crisps by Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads

Flame baked for an authentic taste and ideal texture, these mini crackers are picnic perfect! Dip ’em, top ’em or eat straight from the bag.

I opted for straight from the bag with these and LOVED them. Definitely going to be considering buying these for snacks to bring to work!

Crazy hot pop chips by popchips

Be the first to try these brand new popchips, hot off the line! They’ll make your taste buds tingle with a slow, growing burn that’s oddly addictive.

These were definitely crazy hot! I am not a fan of hot so I wasn’t able to try more than one chip.

Everything Bar by Sheffa

Seeds, whole grains and chickpeas give these savory bars everything – flavor, crunch, protein and fiber. Looking for sugar? You’ve got the wrong bar.

This bar tasted like nothing and I thought it smelled like a beef bouillon cube. Not for me.

Choo Choo Cherry Flavored Dried Cranberries by Funny Face

Ideal nibbling as you burn through that bestseller. Just make sure to slather on your SPF. Bright red is best for cranberries, not your skin tone!

Mom tried these and said they tasted like nothing.

Brownie Brittle

Hide this stuff! Like ants to a picnic, your friends will arrive out of nowhere and take over as soon as this scrumptious secret is out of the bag.

This stuff was GOOD and I definitely will be looking for it in stores! A great snack, the perfect amount of brownie.

Classic Iced Tea Candy by Bali’s Best

Be refreshed anytime! Made with real tea extract – a natural antioxidant source – it’s like having a tall glass of cool that you can pack in your purse.

As of writing, this is the only item I haven’t had a chance to try out yet.

Chocolate Maca Bar by Amrita Health

Harnessing the superfood powers of maca and cacao, this raw protein bar is energy boosting and antioxidant rich. Yoga on the green anyone?

Mom also tried this and enjoyed it.

Pink Guava and Coconut Fruit Ice by Smooze!
Fresh fruit and coconut milk? Sounds like the party’s starting! Just shake and freeze. Vitamin C? You bet. High Fructose Corn Syrup? No way Jose!

I am not a fan of coconut so I had my mom try this for me. It is mom approved 🙂

Blood Orange Candy by Go Organics
Is it possible to take citrus goodness to a new level? Gluten-free, dairy-free and 100% organic, we say “yes you can”-dy!

Iced Mango Mint Candy by Go Organics
Sure to bring you to a warmer place, gluten-free, dairy-free and totally organic, sweet baby, this tropical sucker will make you pucker with delight.

Inka Corn by Inka Crops
Margarita, meet your new BFFs. Dressed with sea salt (just like you) these naturally crisp corn kernels are so all that (and whole grain too!)

PB Thins by Bell Plantation
Just a few simple ingredients combined with roasted peanuts make these crispy, buttery crackers a little taste of paradise.

These were a really great home from work but it’s not quite dinner time yet and I need something to hold me over snack!

Lemon Burst Cookies by Homefree
Savor them one at a time or devour by the handful. Delivering whole grains with every luxuriously lemony bite, you just may find more is better.

These were a bit too lemony (aka sour) for me, but I didn’t have a problem eating them all. Not sure it would be something I’d have again though.

Educational Snacks by Dick & Jane Baking Company
Learning Spanish? Eat your words! No really, each piece features Spanish vocabulary with English translations. You get a new lesson with every nibble.

These were my favorite of the box. In addition to helping me with my Spanish, they are just oh so tasty.

Hibiscus Creamed Honey by Vintage Bee
When it comes to sweet perfection, it takes two to tango. Spread this on toast or drizzle a little on fresh fruit for an all-natural dessert spectacular.

Very sweet and very enjoyable.

Spinach & Kale Corn Chips by The Better Chip
Get ready to salsa! Two healthy greens packed in every chip means you can dip your heart’s content.

Love With Food Box April

20150418_172321

The theme of this month’s box was “Starry Night”. After a long winter, it’s all about clear skies, bright stars and a little time to exhale. Celebrate the quite moments. Take it to the porch or sneak a snack when everyone else is asleep.

Shortbread by Walkers
Since 1898, these Scottish classics have been the bright spot of high tea. Paired with a cup of chamomile, they’re also an ideal bedtime ritual.

I think these have been in a box before – but that’s ok with me because they are one of my favorite things! I had to eat these first and loved every minute of it.

Garlic Olive Oil Pasta Chips by Vintage Italia
60% less fat than regular chips – made with olive oil, garlic and semolina flour, one night of munching is destined to start a lasting relationship.

As of writing I’ve not yet tried these.

Green Tea Tropical By Mighty Tea Leaf
Green tea has been said to improve brain function and fight the aging process. Low in caffeine and high in fruit-forward flavor, we say, “Pinkies up!”

Always a fan of green tea!

Sour Beans by Yumearth
Real fruit extracts, no artificial dyes or flavors and one serving of these organic jelly beans packs 100% RDA of vitamin C. Talk about sweet dreams!

My brother tried these and said that “they tasted like they were good for you”, take that to mean what you will. (He did eat the whole package)

Lemon Zest Mini by Luna
If every night ended with this bar our days would be a whole lot healthier. High in calcium, folic acid and protein – move over more milk and cookies!

This was very weak in flavor, but was nice for a snack when I got home from work without being too many calories.

Mini Chocolate Chunk Cookies by Back to Nature
Rainforest alliance certified chocolate chips, no high fructose corn syrup and fresh baked flavor make these tiny cookies stand out among the stars.

These were SO GOOD! My only complaint is that there were only about 5 in the bag 🙁

Wild Garden Hummus Snack Pack by Ziyad
Be careful not to wake the neighbors! This wholesome combo of flavorful hummus and protein packed quinoa crackers delivers quite a crunch.

At the time of writing I haven’t tried this yet either.
