What’s going on in your life right now that’s driving you nuts?

All the snow!!!! First, I had to reschedule our 3rd row tickets for the Lion King to a new date because there was a blizzard. (Which is probably how we got the 3rd row in the first place) and our new tickets are 16th row.  Still not terrible, but yeah.

Also, we are supposed to be getting MORE SNOW tonight and tomorrow (though I guess not a lot) and tonight I am going to the Hockey game about an hour away and tomorrow is my January concert – about half an hour away – Kicking Daisies.  I am hoping that neither of these events will be canceled or ruined by the snow because I have not been out of the house for an extended period of time in I don’t know how long because of this damn snow.

And then!!! Tuesday into Wednesday we are supposed to be getting another blizzard.  Where we will put the snow, I don’t even know.. Our mailbox is pretty much buried and we didn’t even get mail yesterday because the streets were so bad. We need to get one of those incredible custom mailboxes from a site like https://www.primemailboxes.com/, they have all kinds of stunning and inventive mailboxes. We might get one customized to be heated durring storms.

Nuts is an understatement LOL

If stranded on a desert island, and could only bring one music album with you, which would it be? What is it about this music that never gets old for you?

I’ll have to admit, this is a tough one.. and I’ve gone back and forth a couple of times and I am just going to make my decision and post now because I honestly could debate this all day long.  Assuming I could not make myself some sort of mixed cd – I am going to have to go with Hanson’s Middle of Nowhere.  Even though I generally wake up in the mood to listen to boybands more than I ever wake up in the mood to listen to Hanson… (probably because I realize their live shows are way better than listening to their albums will ever be lol) I just have to go with the orange CD that started it all.  Nearly 14 years and counting and the opening notes of this CD still make me just as happy as they did in May of 1997 when I first bought it.

(And I have 10,000+ songs in my iTunes so this really was a difficult decision, though the choice may seem obvious)

Who are the three funniest people in the world? Who are the three funniest people you know personally?

This is hard because most people everyone else in the world find funny, I find to be obnoxious.  I haven’t thought long and hard – but I’m going to go with George Carlin, Ellen DeGeneres and Conan O Brien.

As far as people I know – I’m going to go with Hanson even though I don’t “know” them lol  Purely based on their Hanson Shopping Network bit they did during their Christmas special.  I looked quickly and couldn’t find a video – but if you are a Hanson fan you know what I am talking about 🙂

What’s your idea for a perfect Sunday? How would it differ from a typical Sunday?

I think this probably would have been a better question if posted on a Sunday. But, anyway…

My idea of a perfect Sunday would be to sleep in after having seen a concert the night before (and maybe the night before that as well)  Getting up whenever I felt like it and starting to organize my photos and videos and deciding what I wanted to write my blog about for those shows.

On a typical Sunday either my Aunt comes over for lunch or we go to her house.  On this Sunday – I’d have to be up a bit earlier and I would have to wait until after lunch was over to get started on any blog posts.  Not a huge deal though because I’m sure I would end up procrastinating a bit even on my “perfect” Sunday…

What is your favorite sound?

Hanson, or more specifically, Hanson singing acapella in 3 part harmony.  It is amazing.  I posted a video of them doing Change In My Life from when I saw them in Pittsburgh this summer.  No mics, no instruments, just their voices.  You could hear a pin drop and we’d have given them a standing ovation – if we weren’t already standing!

Is it always better to know the truth, even when it hurts? Or is ignorance bliss? Or are they both true sometimes?

I think it is better to know the truth.  I’d rather not be lied to and continue on being misinformed, because should I find out the truth later on down the line, I think it would hurt that much more.  I can’t really think of an instance when I would rather be lied to to save my feelings.

What’s the single most important thing you accomplished in 2010? And how do you plan to top it in 2011?

As far as this blog is concerned, the most important thing was going to at least 1 concert a month for the entire year of 2010 (and 2009 before that!)  As well as getting everything posted in a somewhat timely manner. I am not sure that I plan to top that in 2011, but rather, just keep on doing what I’m doing. (And perhaps actually follow through with this challenge to have close to a post every day for the entire year!)  Ideally, I’d like to get reviews posted when I return from the shows that night and pretend I work for a publication that would be publishing it in the next day’s paper, but that isn’t always easy – driving home, another concert the next day to prepare for, etc.

What is the most important thing you’re putting off? And why haven’t you done it yet? What do you need to make it happen?

I think it would have to be re-doing my room.  I have wanted to do this for years, but it keeps getting pushed to the bottom of my priority list.  Probably because in order to rearrange and hang things I have to first somewhat clean my room and then take down all the Mets posters that have been hanging since around 2006. Some of which I don’t even know how I reached that high to hang them in the first place!  And I’d much rather read books, write blogs or mess around on the internet than actually clean my room…

I have a lot of concert posters and stuff I want to hang and I want to basically flip the furniture in my room, but I am not sure if it will all fit on the other side of the room and then I think about it and become incredibly overwhelmed and give up! It is just a HUGE project. I’m not really sure how important it is but it is definitely a BIG thing.

Desribe a time when you witnessed bravery: a) in your profession b) with your own eyes c) in someone you admire.

I didn’t actually witness this, just through the youtube clip – but Isaac Hanson saw a guy push a couple of girls and was not about to let it go unnoticed.  Definitely a pretty ballsy act on his part. (And the fact that the douche was a Yankees fan makes it that much more awesome) Go Isaac!
