Personalized Amazing Biorhythms

Recently I got to check out my Amazing Biorhythms reading from BecauseITriedIt.com.  The site has a ton of Personal Gifts for Anyone, Anytime.  All I had to do was let them know my name and my birthday and I was sent back my reading with all the info I needed to know for January.  The email with my product came super quickly after I submitted my info – I was really impressed.  It had an Analysis of my Physical, Intellectual and Emotional cycle, information on what each of the cycles really means as well as what my critical days are for each cycle.  It was certainly intersting information to have for my month!

“Bio” means life and “rhythm” means flowing with a regular movement. We all have three ways of operating in this world; three internal energies interacting with each other in a continuously changing pattern on a daily basis. These are our biorhythms. They are the three cycles of energy that govern the physical, emotional, and intellectual aspects of our lives: Our physical sensations, our emotions, and our ability to reason. Each of these parts has its own ups and downs.

Check them out on Twitter ( https://twitter.com/BecauseITriedIt) and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/BecauseITriedIt)

Win It!

I will be giving away 2 personalized biorhythms to 2 lucky readers! Just leave a comment on this post that is relevant to the topic, be sure to include your email address and you’ll be entered to win!  Winner chosen 2/12 at 11:59pm EST and will have 48 hours to reply to the winning email with their information to send to the sponsor.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Giveaway: ETY Earplugs

The final giveaway in the 300th show celebration is a set of ETY Plugs earplugs.  These are the plugs that I wear to pretty much every show.  They are reusable high-fidelity hearing protection adn come with the earplugs, case and neck cord.  When used as directed they reduce noise by 12 decibels.  Most musicians have earplugs in on stage – so why shouldn’t you protect your hearing in the crowd too?

These earplugs don’t muffle things like the foam ones you can get for 50cents do.  They are just like taking the volume knob and turning it down to a more manageable level. You’ll still be able to hear the screams, your band singing and talking in between songs – but you won’t have that obnoxious buzzing in your ears after the show!

NOVICA review and giveaway

I was recently asked to check out the NOVICA website and share it with my readers.  The website is working with National Geographic to give talented artisans around the world a place to express their artistic talents and provide access to the world market.  They have a number of items for sale on their site in the categories of Home Decor, Jewelry & Apparel, and Paintings.

If you’d like – you can explore by region to see what items are for sale – regions you can search are Andes, Bali and Java, Brazil, Central America, India, Mexico, Thailand and West Africa.

I chose to focus only on the Jewelry aspect of the site – and considering how long it took me to narrow down what item I wanted to buy it is a good thing that I limited myself or I would probably still be looking at everything the site has to offer!

I was recommended to check out the following pages first:

Amethyst Dangle Earrings
Garnet Dangle Earrings
Amber Earrings
Silver Pendant Necklaces
Silver Cocktail Rings

And that I did.  But I also checked out almost everything else as well.  It came down between a bracelet and earrings but ultimately I decided on these earrings:

I think you’ll agree they were a good choice, right?  Perfect to wear to concerts or just every day!  They were made by an artisan from Thailand.

It was really cool to see the path that the earrings took to get to me – through Thailand, Malaysia, Alaska, Tennessee and then to Connecticut!  These earrings will have traveled more to get to me than they will while I am wearing them! You do need to sign for the items so either print out a fed ex form to sign and leave at your door for the delivery person to leave your item or make sure you are home! I got emailed at 3:30am that I’d need to sign and then later saw that the Fed Ex delivery was attempted at 8:53am.  Had I known it was coming, I’d have tried to be ready for it before heading off to work – but I ended up signing the form the driver left and had to wait to the next day to get it (which was the day it was estimated to arrive anyway – just 5 days after I placed my order with the expedited shipping!)

I opted to save HALF of the gift card I was offered to give out to a lucky blog reader!  So one lucky winner will get a gift certificate for  $37.50 to novica.com!  You can easily find a TON of items that are amazing and under $37.50 with shipping.  Or you can put it towards a more expensive item and pay the difference.  It is up to you!  Details on how to win a the end of the post 🙂

I also wanted to let you know about NOVICA Live – which is a home party division of NOVICA.  Over the years, customers have told the site that they would love to see the products live and in person.  They launched their own party plan division – NOVICA Live which gives Consultants the opportunity to showcase the gifts and jewelry through home parties in an entertaining way, while still supporting artisans worldwide.  If you are interested in hosting a party or becoming a consultant – head on over to http://www.novicalive.com/ for details.

In the event you decide to buy a starter kit please be sure choose that you heard about NOVICA Live through a blog when applying and put in my blog’s website.  Starter kits cost $199 and have over $400 worth of samples and $150 in business materials included.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

I was given a gift certificate in order to purchase an item to write this review. I was not otherwise compensated.  In the event that one of my readers purchases a starter kit for Novica Live – I will receive a gift certificate.

Product Review: YZ Hydravescene Crystals + Giveaway

YZ (pronounced “wise”) Hydravescent Crystals is a Connecticut based company that sells three great flavored crystals that you add to your 16oz bottle of water for added benefits.  Each of the flavors has a different benefit associated with it.

The flavors are Raspberry Green Tea, Orange Mango Pineapple and Lemon Ginger.

Raspberry Green Tea is an antioxidant –  a blend of natural ingredients that helps fight free radicals and reduce onidative stress, plus electrolytes to aid hydration.

Orange Mango Pineapple is for Immunity – A blend of natural ingredients designed to help support a healthy immune system, plus electrolytes to aid hydration.

Lemon Ginger is for Digestive Health – a blend of natural ingredients deisgned to promote digestive health with 3 grams of prebiotic fiber, plus electrolytes to aid hydration.

For those of you with allergies – all 3 contain soy but all 3 are gluten free.

Since I’ve been on a tea kick this summer, the first one I tried was the Raspberry Green Tea Antioxidant.

The crystals turn the water a pretty pink and make it really bubbly. It smelled great and the flavor was not overpowering at all.  The bubbles make it almost fizzy when you drink it, but a good amount of fizz, not like you are drinking soda.  I would definitely give this flavor 2 thumbs up and will definitely consider adding it in to my regular tea rotation this summer.

The second one I tried was the Lemon Ginger.  I am not the biggest lemonade fan so I wasn’t sure if I’d like this one, but I ended up liking it even more than the Raspberry!  It has a bit of a kick to it, but was really tasty.

The final one I tried was Orange Mango Pineapple – mainly because I was afraid of the flavor combination.  But the other two packets did not let me down and I was not going to skip out on trying this one.  For some reason, when I went to pour the crystals in, they didn’t sink to the bottom and all cluttered up at the top of the bottle. Then everything just went overflowing and I had a sticky mess on my hands!  The other weird thing was that in the end, the water was orange, but it started out looking like it might be purple or pink and the stain on my shirt from the “explosion” (which I hope will was out but I haven’t tried to get it out yet) also had multiple colors in it.  Interesting!  This flavor was a bit too tangy for my liking.  It was also weird (but in a good way) how I could taste each of the flavors.

One lucky Concert Katie winner will win a box of YZ in the flavor of their choice! Contest ends August 7.

Easy Canvas Prints Review & Giveaway

Recently I had the chance to check out Easy Canvas Prints and order a print of one of my photos done on canvas! It was a tough decision to decide what photo and I actually didn’t even end up going with my first choice because  I couldn’t find the photo on my computer.  I ended up going with the photo of Zac Hanson that is used in my blog header. You can’t go wrong there.

Once I decided on a photo it was super simple to go to the website and pick out what dimensions I wanted as well as some other choices with the canvas, like if I wanted the image to wrap around the canvas or be a mirror image. I went for the wrapping and an 11×14 canvas.

The canvas was packed super securely and I have it temporarily hanging on a stray nail that was in my wall already.  It came with the hardware already installed on the back so I simply had to balance it on the nail and it was good to go! (The above photo was taken of it on my bed before I hung it)  I got an 11×14 canvas which I think is the perfect size and I am already considering getting another one done up when I get back from my trip to Jamaica.  Hopefully I’ll take a photo worthy of becoming a canvas!

The owners of Easy Canvas Prints also own and operate several websites:

Car Magnets

Cheap Signs

Photos On Canvas

Banners

And have been kind enough to allow a Concert Katie reader their choice of which site they would like to win a gift card from! The lucky winner will receive a virtual gift certificate – which will include US shipping from the website of their choice!

To enter – visit each of the sites and leave a comment with which site you would choose to get your prize from if you win 🙂 A winner will be chosen on August 5, 2012 at 11:59pm EST and will have 48 hours to respond to the winning email to claim their prize.

Music Monday: John Mayer Born and Raised

Tracklist:

Queen of California
The Age of Worry
Shadow Days
Speak For Me
Something Like Olivia
Born and Raised
If I Ever Get Around to Living
Love is a Verb
Walt Grace’s Submarine Test January 1967
Whiskey, Whiskey, Whiskey
A Face to Call Home
Bor and Raised (Reprise)

Born and Raised is the much anticipated release from John Mayer produced by himself and Don Was.  The CD was released on May 22, 2012, after Mayer’s spring tour to promote the album was canceled due to a granuloma on his vocal chords.  This means John is unable to sing and therefore can not do as much promotion for the new album as he would like, the album must speak for him.

Born and Raised is a bit more mellow than any of John’s other releases, but it is still just as great as everything else. It has a bit of a country vibe to it as well.  The title track – Born and Raised – contains vocals by none other than Crosby and Nash, which is awesome.

Random note: Walt Grace’s Submarine Test at times sounds a bit like the Jonas Brothers Love Bug.  The first time through the record I actually did a double take and was all “wait a second…”

Win a copy of Born and Raised from Concert Katie! Contest ends July 30, 2012 at 12:01AM est.
