Unplanned is the true story of how Abby Johnson went from Planned Parenthood clinic director to leading voice for life and women in crisis.
Abby Johnson made a courageous decision when she walked away from her job as the director of a key Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas and walked into the office of the Coalition for Life down the street. Yet that turning point was preceded by years of searching – and a moment of pure awakening. Little did she know that her one decision would turn into a national news story or that she’d immediately go from being a leader for Planned Parenthood to being a very public figure in the right-to-life debate.
Now in Unplanned, the documentary based on her sensational book of the same title, Anny takes you back to the Planned Parenthood clinic where she worked for years as a pro-choice advocate. You’ll hear directly from Abby how a few moments in a room of that same clinic changed her perspective, and her life, forever.
In this intriguing and inspirational story, you’ll follow Anny on a journey into her past – through her wrestling with an incredible personal dilemma and making a difficult choice – and ultimately to her current mission to fight for life and help women in crisis.
The Unite for LIFE webcast is a free webcast featuring Abby Johnson that will benefit pregnancy care organizations. You can sign up to participate on May 17 at 8:00pm (in all time zones) at www.uniteforlifewebcast.org. Unplanned the book and the DVD will be available for purchase as a package deal and 33% of each purchase will go to the crisis pregnancy centers like CareNet, the National Institute of Family & Life Advocates, and Heartbeat International.

Prefense is a new Silica based Hand Sanitizer. It contains no alcohol, so it won’t dry out your hands like most other sanitizers on the market do. Just one application of Prefense and your hands will be protected for 10 hand washings or 24 hours!
Prefense‘s active ingredient dries into an invisible, protective film that stands guard against pathogens you encounter throughout the day. If a transfer of germs occurs while Prefense is on the defense, if actively slices the cell wall of pathogens you confront for up to 10 hand washings, whether wet or dry. The patented formula containing silica complex will sooth and moisturize your skin throughout the day. It is also non-toxic which means if you accidentally swallow it – you won’t be harmed and it is totally safe for kids to use.
Having mild cerebral palsy – one of the things I can not do is go up or down staircases without using the railing. I always have some sort of hand sanitizer with me because I don’t even want to think about who else might have touched those railings and what they might have touched before. ICK. I am grossing myself out just thinking about it.
Using Prefense, I don’t have to worry about what I might come in contact with. All I need to do is use their product once a day (it lasts for 24 hours or 10 hand washings!) and I know that I will be protected. Not to mention, Prefense is a FOAM that you rub in on your hands and I don’t know about you, but I think there is something just a bit fun and exciting about foam. It also has a very light fresh citrus scent that makes my hands smell fresh without being overpowering.
The 1.5 fl oz bottle can be used for 120 sprays, which will last you quite a long time! (120 days, less if you share with friends) Since you only need 1 dose of Prefense Daily, the product costs you about $0.06 per day, versus needing 10+ doses of other brands of hand sanitizers which would cost you upwards of $1.20 per day in product.
WIN IT!
One Concert Katie reader will win their own bottle of Prefense!

Each webisode is hosted by ‘Gary Galaxy’ (Meyer deLeeuw) and gives kids a fun new way to learn about our solar system! In each episode there is an interview with one of the racers – Eagle Wingstrong (Earth), Pigeon (Moon), Vulture (Space Stations), Coot (Mars), Sabia (Sun), Robin (Mercury and Venus), Condor (Asetroid Belt), and Crane (Jupiter). Also available are flash cards, trivia, coloring sheets and more activities for the kids to use to Play, Learn and Share.
The episodes are a fun way to help learn about the solar system. I think Science education is important and I wish that these episodes were available when I was in elementary school and learning about the solar system – I think these would have definitely kept me and my classmates interested by making things fun, but still educational!
For more informationabout Space Race, please visit www.spaceracekids.com or email info@spaceracekids.com. Follow Space Race on Facebook and Twitter: http://www.facebook.com/spaceracekids and @SpaceRaceKids.
Space Race Kids will be sending one lucky reader a Space Race Kids Solar System poster (18″ x 24″) to help supplement what is being taught through the webisodes. This poster would be great for a kids bedroom or even a classroom!
Please leave your email address in each comment so that I can notify you if you have won!
