When I first requested “Where Will You Go from Here?” I was wondering that myself.  I had been out of work for nearly a year and was down and out.  However, by the time the book came I had started working again and was in a much better mind set.  But now after reading it, I know how to try and cope and overcome any other obstacles that might come my way.

The book is filled with a lot of personal stories (there is one at the end of I believe every chapter) and how that person overcame their problems and what lessons they learned along the way.

Each chapter also ends with questions for yourself.  The author notes that answering these questions may bring all the anger and the sadness back to you, but that it will end up helping you recover and move forward.

One of the important lessons of the book was that you shouldn’t ask “Why Me?”, that just puts a negative spin on things and you need to find the positive to help you overcome the obstacles and move forward with your life.  Another lesson that I tend to overlook is to not be afraid to ask for help! If you have 3-4 good friends who are willing to help you out when you are in bad times then you know you have good friends and you know that you will be ok and able to move forward.

  1. I would like to read the book because I have two other books written by Valorie and they are excellent. I have re-read them several times already.

I read the first chapter of “Where Will You Go From Here” and just that first chapter alone have encouraged me so. Thanks in advance

  3. I would love to read this book. I purchased all the other books and my husband refuses to let me order this one until I read ALL the other ones. However, I want to read “Where will you go from here?” now because it describes the situation I am in at this current time in my journey.  I had a chance to catch a glimpse when she came to Michigan for our Church’s Annual Ladies Night Out and it would help me a lot.
