McDonalds and Shrek Forever After @ She Scribes!

When I saw that McDonalds had once again teamed up with Dreamworks and Shrek, I ended up eating lunch there every day for 3 days.  And one of those days, I had dinner there as well.  All because I wanted to get the set of 4 Shrek glasses.  Puss In Boots, Shrek, Fiona and Donkey, to use as the glassware whenever I finally end up moving into my own place.  Doing so completely burned me out on McDonalds, but I had all 4 glasses sitting in their bags on the dining room table, just begging me to move out.

Two days later they were recalled and consumers were told to stop using them because they contained high levels of cadmium which could affect you even by touching it.  Looks like those glasses will just be in a display case at the new place…

In my quest to get all 4 glasses, I ordered the 10 piece McNugget nearly every time, in order to get the 25 Snapfish photos with the code.  My brother wasn’t too pleased with this as he likes to collect the Happy Meal toys.  (We managed to get 2 – Shrek and Rumpelstiltskin)

However, today I headed over to She Scribes for my daily blogger catch-up and saw that she was giving away some Shrek prizes!  First prize is the happy meal toys, as well as Shrek the Third!  Second and Third prizes is a Shrek Forever After movie poster!

Simply Stacie’s Spring Bling!

Simply Stacie (simplystacie.net) is a blog that I read daily – sometimes even more than once a day.   From June 7-20th she is having an event called “Spring Bling” and she is reviewing and giving away some amazing products!

I won the UPrinting contest!

Early last month I posted a bit about a contest to win 100 custom postcards and mentioned how helpful it would be with my new hobby of postcrossing!

Well, about a week or so ago I got an email that I had WON!  Just this morning I got the fulfillment information from UPrinting and made myself a custom postcard.  I used the photo I had taken at the Mets game of Honor Society’s 4 mics and home plate.  I just love that photo, I hope other people can appreciate it too.  I’ll probably hold at least one back to give to Andy from Honor Society the next time I see him because I know if anyone else is going to appreciate it – it will be him!

Perfect timing too, since I ran out of postcards this afternoon. I will have to wait a few days for the shipment, so I might pick up a few more cards to hold me over, but it will be so much simpler to add images of the cards once I am only sending out one kind! (Though if I see cool ones in my travel I will pick them up to mix things up a bit!) Often times I forget to scan the card before I mail it out and then I am left wondering – which card did I send them?  Will they scan it once they get it?

Well, I need to hit the mailbox before the mail man (or I think we have a mail lady, lately) shows up!

This is a bit of a secret, but I guess it is time to shout it from the rooftops – I love M&Ms.;  When I saw that She Scribes had teamed up with Brands Unlimited for an M&M; giveaway, I was all over it.

She Scribes, with the help of Brands Unlimited, is giving one lucky winner 2 USB controlled M&Ms; items.  One is a USB Hub and the other is a USB powered fan.  Both are items I *wish* I had on my desk right now – and the fact that these are M&Ms; makes it even better!

I actually have 3 M&Ms; candy jars in storage.  Red, Yellow and Yellow as a cowboy.  Someday when I have my own place they will be on display.  Maybe in the office for paperclips, pens, etc… or maybe in the kitchen empty because you know M&Ms; would not last very long in my house 😉
