How did you get along in high school?
I didn’t really fit in in highschool, though I did not get picked on quite as much as I did in Middle School… I had my core group of friends and I pretty much just stuck with them.

Well I went to a concert 2 nights ago, does that count? If so.. went to see Lee DeWyze.  Technically I saw him do 2 shows that day.. and met him.. I guess twice. Depends on your definitions lol

I’m a bit late with this because of all the excitement I had going on last week with Hanson and Ocean Grove. But better late than never, right? 😉

1. Psycho Killer “I can’t seem to face up to the facts, I’m tense and nervous and I can’t relax. I can’t sleep cuz my bed’s on fire. Don’t touch me I’m a real live wire…”
What has kept you from a restful night’s sleep recently?
Excitement! And not feeling well.

2. Life During Wartime “This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco…this ain’t no foolin around. No time for dancing or lovey dovey. I ain’t got time for that now…”
Where was the last nightclub or disco you went to?
I don’t think I have ever been to a nightclub – unless it was doubling as a concert venue… then that would probably have been the Avalon in Boston before it became HOB to see Hanson.

When was the last time you took a dip in the water?
I don’t even know! I was last on a boat on my cruise in 09 but I never went in the water because I chickened out when we went snorkeling!

What is your favorite TV spin off show of all time?
hmm spin off… I can’t even think of any shows that were spin offs let alone one that would be my favorite.

Are you happy with your choices of car, house and spouse/no spouse?
I love my car! I’d prefer to have my own house and I’m ok with a lack of a spouse, for right now. I think.

A week and a day.

Sleeping on the sidewalk in NYC

When was the last time you took a day trip or a road trip?
Last week… Wednesday I went to NJ and Friday NYC.  I think that counts.

Are you keeping up with the world? What piece of modern technology do you still need to own/use?
I think I am pretty up to date with my technology.  Though I do get annoyed that more apps seem to be made for droid/iPhone and not blackberry…

When was the last time you stayed at a motel/hotel and what town were you in?
It was in Pittsburgh in August, I think.  Well I guess technically it was considered Monroeville PA.

Fast Food.

I don’t take any vitamins or supplements.

What advice or suggestion have you given recently that went unheeded?
I can’t recall any advice or suggestion I’ve given lately. I have been keeping to myself!

Do you believe there is intelligent life on other planets that has been monitoring us on earth?
Yes. Especially since I just finished watching the entire 3rd Rock from the Sun series 😉

What is your favorite “fad” singer or band that swooped in with a hit and swooped out 15 minutes of fame?
hmm. Most of my favorites have multiple albums so I wouldn’t consider them fads, even if their popularity has faded a bit. I am trying to think of a one-hit-wonder song that I really loved but I am falling a bit short.  I am sure there has to be a couple of them but I just can’t think right now!

Do you think the Royals should remain in England as sovereign rulers?
Sure, why not?

For you, what would be the worst part about being famous?
Paparazzi! Definitely. I often say that would be the 1 reason I could never become famous.

Name a good thing and a bad thing you did recently.
I can’t think of anything BAD I’ve done.. like something wrong… I’ve made a few bad decisions in the past couple of weeks – which you should know about if you read the blog regularly…

What is the last fashionable item you bought?
I am not fashionable at all… and I haven’t bought any clothing or accessories lately (with the exception of some socks from Little Miss Matched!)

When was the last time you slow-danced with someone and what was the song?
Umm probably at a dance when I was in middle school. NO idea what the song would have been! I can’t remember if I danced with any guys at prom! Probably not if I can’t remember lol

What is your favorite Chinese dish?
Chicken Lo Mein, Boneless Spare Ribs and/or Crab Rangoon are my regular rotation.

What is your least favorite thing about cats?
That they can scratch you.

I think I like her wildness. I am a bit more calm so we kind of balance each other out when we are together. Or something like that.

Rock N Roll Fridays – Aerosmith

1. Dream On “Every time that I look in the mirror, All these lines in my face getting clearer. The past is gone. It went by like dusk to dawn. Isn’t that the way. Everybody’s got their dues in life to pay” Do you pay dues or something such as a membership in a union, church, civic group, gang, etc?
I have a membership to The Elongated Collectors. That is about it lol

2. Angel “Without your love, I’m nothing but a beggar. Without your love, a dog without a bone…” What is your favorite dog breed?I am not a big dog person, I like Yorkies.

3. Sweet Emotion “You stand in the front just a shakin your ass. I’ll take you backstage you can drink from my glass…” Have you ever been backstage at a concert to meet the band? If not, what band would you like to meet backstage?
Yes I have – for Hanson a couple of times, Danny Gokey last week was backstage though I think technically we were under the stage.. and probably a few others as well I can’t think of off hand.  Meet and Greets aren’t always “backstage” sometimes they are just in a random room at the venue so I am not sure what “counts” for this question.

4. Walk This Way “So I took a big chance at the high school dance with a missy who was ready to play…” What was the first song you ever danced to at a school dance?
Oh I don’t know! I know Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me” and Michael Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone” were pretty popular in middle school when I went to dances. So perhaps it was one of those.. although usually it started with fast songs and only a couple slow songs were in the mix.

5. Crazy “You’re packin up your stuff and talkin like it’s tough. And tryin to tell me that it’s time to go, yeah. But I know you ain’t wearin nothing underneath that overcoat. And it’s all a show, yeah.” Ever worn your PJs in public?
Of course!

6. Cryin “I was cryin when I met you. Now I’m tryin to forget you. Your love is sweet misery.” What is the worst film you went to see in the past 5 years?I don’t see many films in the theaters, so usually I do not see anything horrible, I usually pick and choose and I know it will be something I like that I am going to see.  However, things I stream on Netflix or rent from Netflix would be a completely different story.  Unfortunately, my memory SUCKS (especially for things I don’t like, I try to push them out of memory) so I can’t recall any off hand – plus for the past several months I have pretty much exclusively been streaming TV shows.

7. Draw The Line “Checkmate honey beat you at your own damn game. No dice honey I’m livin on the astral plane. Feet’s on the ground and your head’s goin down the drain. Oh heads I win tails you lose….” What is your favorite board game?
Monopoly.  I actually had an online version back in the early 00s and I made “boyband monopoly” out of the custom settings and it was pretty freaking awesome. Instead of places you’d buy boyband members and the prices were based on how much I liked them so my least fave members were the cheaper spots.  The best part was I could play by myself against the computer so I wouldn’t have to beg anyone to play with me!

8. Big Ten Inch Record “My girl don’t go for smoking, and liquor just makes her flinch. Seems she’ll go for nuthin, ‘cept for my big ten inch… Record of a band that plays the blues…” What was your favorite record (or CD) when you were 18 years old?
When I was 18 hmm.. I was a freshman in college so I would say it was probably whatever Christina Aguilera released that year – stripped?  I think we were in a bit of a Hanson drought and NSYNC was pretty much done.. Justin had just started going solo (blech)

9. Janie’s Got A Gun “It’s Janies last IOU She had to take him down easy and put a bullet in his brain…” What was the last IOU written for that you either gave or received?
My mom and I always are owing each other money for something or another.

Yeah, probably.

11. I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing “I don’t wanna close my eyes. I don’t wanna fall asleep cause I’d miss you baby And I don’t wanna miss a thing….” What was the last event that you missed that you regret?
Not going to see Miranda Cosgrove and Greyson Chance when they were in town at the beginning of the month.  I think that was the most recent thing.

Freezing my butt off two days in a row HAS to be it lol that was miserable and I am still not truly warm! 😉

Rock N Roll Sundays – Fleetwood Mac

I’ve been a bit preoccupied the last couple of days so I completely forgot to do “Rock N Roll Fridays” meme!  Better late than never, right?  Here it goes…

What is the longest vacation you have ever been on?
Usually my vacations are about a week.  I can’t recall any that have been longer than that.

What is the worst exercise machine or routine you’ve ever tried?
Once at physical therapy they had me walking on a treadmill that was off, I was standing backwards and making it move with my feet and I kept telling them that I was going to go flying off it.  They told me there was no way that it would happen.  Wouldn’t you know as soon as they walked away I went flying off of it?  I think whenever I am told “there is no way that will happen” my body takes it as a challenge and it WILL happen lol

3. Gypsy “so i’m back to the velvet underground back to the floor that i love
to a room with some lace and paper flowers back to the gypsy…that i was…to the gypsy…that i was…”
What is your fondest memory of personal freedom?
I guess when I followed Hanson’s tour for a week in 2004.  We went to 4 shows in 5 or 6 days in Connecticut, Toronto, Ottawa and Maine.  Just me and my friend Erin… we even spent one night in jail!

Do you believe in magic/witches/alchemists?
Yes and no.

I was daydreaming about meeting David Henrie. It didn’t happen… more on that in another post later haha

I don’t think I’ve ever sailed through anything. (Other than the ocean)

Rock N Roll Friday – The Rolling Stones

What do you miss about being a young child?
Not having any responsibilities!

If you could be a royal figure, whom would you like to be? This could be a past or ancient royal as well.
I don’t really know. History is not my favorite subject so I don’t remember a lot about royals I might have learned about.

What is your favorite current commercial?
Of course, the mini darth vader that was premiered during the Super Bowl.  Too cute! And the little boys that play Darth are adorable! (I saw them on The Talk earlier this week)

What were you doing the last time you hurt your back?
Standing. LOL It doesn’t take much…

If you hired a maid, what tasks would you have her do?
As much as I would like a maid, it would drive me nuts if things were put away in places and I didn’t know where they were.  However, I am allergic to dust so I suppose I would have my maid do the dusting for me so I wouldn’t end up with itchy, watery eyes.

What is your favorite wall color?
Blue

I actually don’t recall having any dreams lately, oddly enough!

No.

Have you ever been to a therapist? If not, would you ever seek professional help for emotional issues?
Yes, but it was a physical therapist for my CP and not for emotional reasons.  I don’t think I need to seek professional help on an emotional level.

Do you prefer to be free or settled down?
Free!

11. Mother’s Little Helper : Things are different today, I hear every mother say. Cooking fresh food for a husband’s just a drag, so she buys an instant cake and she buys a frozen steak…”
What is your favorite convenience or frozen food?
Hot Pockets or Easy Mac.  That is pretty much what I lived off of when I was in college lol I also love McDonalds.

Have you ever been in a tragic fire, flood or storm where damage was done to your home or apartment?
Fortunately I have not.

I am not a big telephone talker in general, so I am pretty sure that has never happened.

Where is the oddest place you agreed to meet someone?
I really don’t meet people in odd places.  The mall, a commuter lot, etc… but nothing too odd!

No I’m not.

My zac doll, even though I havent taken many pictures of him lately he was always in my purse!

I havent been around a young child in a while. At least not one that it was my responsibility to keep entertained

My phone doesn’t drop calls, which is interesting because supposedly my mom’s phone does all the time yet we are on the same plan and therefore same carrier. *shrugs*

I’ve been cleaning my room so a LOT of stuff has been getting thrown out, I can’t remember exactly what the last thing was

Have you ever accidentally killed or injured an animal with your car?
YES 🙁 We had a woodchuck or a gopher or groundhog or whatever in our backyard that I had named “fatty” and one day I was driving to school and fatty darted out in front of my car and I ran him over. I called my mom crying and she said to just go to school. I also ran over a squirrel once too. He dropped his nut halfway across the street and ran back to get it and instead ran into my tire.

Were you ever interested in someone (other than a celebrity) who did not return your interest?
Yes. Far too many times to count.

2. BE TRUE TO YOUR SCHOOL : “So be true to your school now, just like you would for your girl or guy…”
Looking back, how do you feel about your high school days?
I don’t know that I would want to relive them, that is for sure. The kids were awful until about the last 2 weeks of senior year.  Then they all magically got brains and decided I was not how they thought I was. (Perhaps if they took the time to talk to me once or twice they’d have realized that much sooner!)

3. FUN FUN FUN : “…and she’ll have fun fun fun till her daddy takes the T-Bird away…”
What was the worst punishment you received as a teenager?
Getting grounded from the computer. That was always torture.  Even to this day it is hard for me to go extended periods of time without my computer (fortunately now my phone has internet so I basically always am connected haha)

4. I GET AROUND : “Round round get around, I get around”
Where did you go on your last long trip?
Oklahoma. I don’t really know how “long” it was, I flew in one day and out the next.. but distance wise I guess it was long!

5. HELP ME RHONDA : “You gotta help me Rhonda, help me get her off of my mind”
What do you do to cheer up after a personal tragedy such as a lost job, power outage or broken relationship?
Go to a concert or 12? Play around on the internet? Find a new boy to crush on? Something like that.

6. CALIFORNIA GIRLS : “I wish they all could be California girls. The west coast has the sunshine and the girls there get so tan, I dig a French bikini on Hawaiian island dolls, by a palm tree in the sand”
Where are the best boys found?
Nowhere near where I am, that’s for sure.

7. SLOOP JOHN B : “I wanna go home, please let me go home, ya ya. Well this is the worst trip, I’ve ever been on…”
What is the worst trip you’ve ever been on?
Any family trip where the destination was chosen by my little brother. I’m not sure how many times we had to watch him play stupid carnival games because he HAD. TO. HAVE. some stupid stuffed something… that we would end up getting smacked with for the rest of the trip. (A green crayon that my mother kept sewing back together for him and a stuffed snake are a couple that come to mind and I am fairly certain these were obtained by him on 2 different trips)

8. WOULDN’T IT BE NICE : “I guess the more we talk about it, it makes it harder just to live without it, but let’s talk about it…”
What is your biggest wish?
Aren’t you not supposed to say wishes outloud? Then they don’t come true!  Honestly, I’m not sure what my biggest wish is – so I’ll just go with that I can’t tell…

9. IN MY ROOM : “There’s a place where I can go and tell my secrets to. In my room. In my room.”
What is your favorite thing about your own personal room or space in your home/office?
I’m really not a huge fan of my room (or keeping it clean)  I did like that it had my computer but it is wide open on the floor right now as we troubleshoot what is wrong and I decide if I think it can be fixed or if I should drop the cash on a new one. (With no job. and employment benefits having run out. I think you can guess where I’m leaning towards)

10. GOD ONLY KNOWS : “You never need to doubt it, I’ll make you so sure about it. God only knows what I feel about you”
When was the last time you told a significant other or close relative that you loved them?
Not sure.

11. GOOD VIBRATIONS : “My baby has good vibrations, she’s giving me excitations…”
When do you get good vibrations?
lol concerts?

12. KOKOMO : “We’ll go to Kokomo. We’ll get there fast and then we’ll take it slow. That’s where I wanna go…”
What is your favorite warm weather destination?
I liked the Bahamas… I got a good tan… but I don’t know that I’d go back – I’d like to check out other places. Although one warm place I’d like to go back to is Florida because I need to go to the Harry Potter portion of Universal, like, yesterday.

13. DO IT AGAIN : “Let’s get back together and do it again…”
If you could go back in time and gather up your school friends, what would you do again?
I only hang out with 2 friends from school now (8 years after graduating high school) and there is a good reason for that…
