For a while I have been looking for a charm bracelet.  I have several Hanson charms and I’m not sure what to do with them.  Last night I found myself at Just Another New Blog where they had a “Link Your Giveaway” post.  There I found Menopausal New Mom who is giving away a charm bracelet from the Charm Factory!

I was quite excited to see that the bracelets are all sterling silver and contain no lead or nickel, as I have a nickel allergy.  I spent quite some time on the Charm Factory‘s site – they have tons and tons of charms to choose from and of course I want them all!

There are several blogs that I “follow” and read whenever they are updated. One of them is Girly Girl Giveaways.

A couple nights ago there was a post about a woman named Holly on the blog, who is looking to adopt a sweet girl from China. I am a firm believer that if you can provide for a child you should be able to help save that child from an orphanage, but unfortunately it is not that easy and can be a HUGE expense.

Instead of just soliciting donations, Holly has some amazing jewelry from Uganda that she is selling to help raise money to bring a little girl home to her family. She is selling necklaces for $20, bracelets for $5 and earrings for $5 a pair. The bracelets are made up of beads made out of rolled up newspapers and are SO colorful! Not only will you be helping this family bring Elaina home to them, but you will be helping to save the environment by buying a great jewelry item made out of recycled materials!

Katie’s Concert Blog, that’s who!

Several weeks ago I added ‘Make new header for concertkatie blog’ to my to do list.  As you can see, it has yet to be done. I got a post-it note in the mail from Kurt Halsey that I think would be perfect for redoing the header, and maybe even re-working the whole layout of the blog around it.

But lately, I have tried to modify things and it resulted in a big BUST.  I’ve tried to work on adding some features to my Honor Society site (honorsocietylive.com) and couldn’t figure it out so I gave up.  I tried to re-do the forums on The Elongated Collectors website and that turned into a huge mess and the forums were down for 4 or 5 days!  I’m sure there were some other things I tried too in the last week or so but I’ve blocked them from my memory.

Then today, I was doing my daily check of the blogger blogs I follow and got to SimplyStacie and saw that she had teamed up with Wacky Jacqui to offer “The Everything Package” blog makeover to one lucky winner. What a crazy day today!

This morning I get a phone call that I won tickets and a M&G; to see Adam Lambert tomorrow at the casino.

Then I went to see Justin Bieber (with tickets I had also won) and get an email that I won a poster contest and won tickets to see the American Idols on tour.

During the Justin Bieber show I get an email that I won a blog contest I had entered for Snazzy Lites, which are “fun, fast non damaging clipped in hair color” so now when I want a splash of something fun, I can pop in one of those! (I went for red and blue) Instead of needing to wait 3 hours for my hair to get bleached as white as it can and then colored! Yipee!

I also got some fun products from Crayola to try out for them – they look like a LOT of fun and I will be sure to blog about them (if I am allowed!)
