Saturday night, I had already planning on staying over in Stamford to make a drive to Long Island Sunday morning a little bit shorter. Then Summer in the Park ended up announcing that Aly & AJ would be performing that evening so I figured I would check them out. My hotel was “across the street” from the park but there was a little river that I needed to go around so it took a bit longer to get there than anticipated. When we arrived, Aly & AJ had just taken the stage. There were not many people there at all – which I kind of figured when I got an email that I could bring a friend for free since I had purchased a full price ticket. The whole thing was really chill and a good time. They played until about 9:30 and we found a bit of a shorter route to get back to the hotel afterwards – which ended up being in a not so great area of town but fortunately for us the druggies were really nice and polite.
