When my soap from Marshmallow Soap Co arrived and I had scents like “Watermelon Lemonade” “Punch Party” and “Cantaloupe” I was slightly confused. I thought this soap was going to smell like marshmallows! But, it turns out, it looks and feels like a marshmallow which is SO SO cool. (If you are stumped on gifts to get anyone, ever. This is probably the way to go. So awesome.)

Each marshmallow creates a great lather – you can use just a piece of it and should have no problem working up enough lather for your whole body for your shower or bath. They also smell good and for a while after I got out of the shower my arm smelled so good I kind of wanted to eat it. They moisturize your skin and leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated for hours. It is great for all skin types – including children and sensitive skin and can help make bath-time (or just hand washing) fun!

If you properly let your Marshmallows dry (they do sell a drying rack at the site), the 1.5″ marshmallow can last as long as a standard bar of soap – if not longer!

Book Review: Top 5 Lists of All Things Travel + Giveaway

The Top 5 Lists of All Things Travel is a book written by travel enthusiasts Kristine and Toni. Between them they have visited 19 countries. They love traveling and want to encourage it and they think making lists is fun (I agree, on both counts) so they combined them into one great book! The book contains many lists with things to think about when booking vacations. Where do you want to stay? What kind of amenities are you looking for? There’s even tips on how to save for your trip. This always seems to be the question I get, but it’s always phrased in a rude “but how can you afford all that?” way. (Don’t worry about me and my finances, they are not your problem they are mine and in fact are not a problem at all.)

One of the things I disagreed with though is leaving the camera at home. It does say “unless you are a photo buff” which I guess I am, but still. The thought of people relying on their phones for photos when on vacation just doesn’t sit well with me. (Even though my last trip I had a brand new phone and did find myself using it just as much as my actual camera to “try it out”) They do also list tips for taking great photos with your phone, but I’m still not sold on it. A lot of the tips I was also already doing, but there were certainly some things that I hadn’t thought about before included as well.

The book also has a list of other great resources if you want to do even more research after reading it.

I really liked the way the videos and sections were set up. It helped you overcome your fears and what it might cost you if you don’t. While the homework could be challenging at times, it really made you take a look at yourself and what your fears are. Could they be overcome? How much would you miss out on if you don’t try to overcome them? What will you miss out if you don’t travel alone internationally?

I’ve always wanted to listen to music in the shower, but have never had a way to. Now that I have a Bluetooth Shower Speaker – that can change! Putting my phone on the cabinets and listening to Pandora just doesn’t work that well when you have the fan on for ventilation and the water running! Product Review: Lightload Towels

World Renowned Lightload Towels are the only beach towels that fit in your pocket! All our towels are survival tools. Use them for so much including a firestarter, face mas, insulation, diaper and more. The towels are soft against the skin and washable. Great for packing in small places and excellent for shedding weight.

While these towels have all sorts of fun uses, I opted to go for the boring one – using it for a towel when I got out of the shower. (In my defense, my next vacation where I would have loved to pack it isn’t until mid-May and I wanted to be able to offer a giveaway which has to be done before the end of April!) While the instructions do say that getting the towel a little bit wet would help in puling it apart, I opted to not use any water as I didn’t want a wet towel when I got out of the water. Seemed counter productive to be using something wet when I was trying to dry myself off!

The towel is super light weight which made me wonder if it would really work, but it does! I dried me off just as well, if not better, than other beach towels I usually use. I wasn’t sure that it would survive the washer / dryer, but it did! It came out even more soft than it already was and wasn’t ripped at all which was what I was expecting because it is so light!
